With over 6 years of experience in the residential energy efficiency space, I have seen firsthand the barriers that exist for customer participation. I understand how to excite and empower customers to change their behavior.
Step Up and Power Down
Step Up and Power Down is a residential energy efficiency program funded by the Pacific Gas and Electric Company as part of their commitment to energy efficiency and innovation. This local energy savings campaign connects residents to available energy efficiency products/programs by leveraging community based social marketing strategies.
The Neighbor to Neighbor Energy Challenge
Connecticut’s Neighbor to Neighbor Energy Challenge was a residential energy savings program made possible by a $4.17 million dollar grant from the Federal Department of Energy’s Better Buildings Neighborhood Program. The three-year pilot empowered residents in 14 CT communities to make smarter energy choices in their homes.
Western Mass Saves
Western Mass Saves (a pre-cursor to Massachusetts Mass Saves program) was one of the first municipal based energy efficiency programs. The pilot focused on helping residents take charge of their energy usage and commit to energy efficient behaviors.
